hi folks,

can you tell me if the harridan can roll on the superheavy damage table?

or does the superheavy damage table only belong to real vehicles, like the imperial tanks or ork tanks and so on...?

I don't think the Harridan is a super heavy.

but in the army-list he is listed under "superheavies"

i would say that the superheavy damage table only apply to vehicles like tanks...

I just checked. It's listed under fliers, not super heavies. So, that tells me it's not a super heavy. Also, I don't see anywhere in the Tyrnaid army list where it says Tryanid super heavies get to use the Imperial Super Heavy damage table.

yes, you are right, but if you look at the unit statistics last page you will find him under superheavies! so what can i believe?

and where do you know, that the superheavy damage table is only used by imperial tanks? the core rules do not say, that the damage table is used for special models. look page 28. thee s only an exmaple which discribes the situation with an impewrial tank but the text above do not say that only real tanks use the damage table only. what do you think?

I think the lack of it being mentioned in the Tyranid army list is enough evidence for me.

We asked this before about the Trygon.  Tyranids don't get to use the Superheavy Damage table (ruling by Primarch).

The Trygon is the Tyranid Superheavy.......???

The ruling was that the Tyranid Superheavy units (Dominatrix, Harridan, Trygon) do not get to use the Superheavy damage table as they are biological and multiple wounds simulate this.  And that a multiple wound unit who also gets to use the SHDT is sick!

I'd extrapolate this to suggest any non-Tyranid Superheavy unit with multiple wounds (Mega Squiggoth) or other special damage provisions (like the Squat Overlord) does not get to also use the SHDT unless specifically listed as doing so.

The SHDT is a core rule and applies to all Superheavies unless otherwise noted (as above).

Hi!

Tyranid creatures don't get to use the super heavy table because they have wounds and the combination would be too good.

There is a thread "airpower uber alles" with the proposed new rules for aircraft and AA we worked out.  These are a significant change.  Will post it to the mailing list for a vote when I get a chance.

Giving Walkers AA without any other changes is in hindsight a bad idea because the race/s that would get the biggest benefit are the ones that are already broken in the Airpower/AA arena. (eg Tau and Eldar).
