Looks like it would be pretty easy....cover the side ladders with boarding ramps, add a flat roof with some details (panels, vents, whatever), add a forward mounted turret with a defense laser, some side guns and iconography and you would be done. I think I might get one myself :)

I understand the true scale argument but not at the expense of making everything else redundant. I posted the comparison shots so there would be no surprises for anyone who buys one. I use mine as a battle fortress with titan weapons.
Would be interested to see a conversion that is used as a Capitol Imperialis. Photo please Jimmy ?

In this case I have the same two models you do ;D
I use the pregnant whale proxy for my Leviathan so everything nets out in the end but I totally get your point

Actually, it's from the 1/76 M113 from JB Models (a UK company), not Italieri.

Just nabbed one of these on ebay. Missed the one that went for 99p yesterday, but grabbed a £1.99 BIN. Last time I checked Markfield miniatures (or some other extortionate seller) was asking £20 for the tracks... almost worth buying a load of the JB kits and Mark(field)ing them up...

That 28mm Dystopian Wars is a great find! Plasticard roof, gribbly bits and tech bling and you're all set. If you do it then please make sure you do a build thread on it!

Picked one up on friday. The floor can be used as a roof, but the model is probably a bit to lagre...

There was also http://www.hawkwargames.com/products/ferrum-class-drone-base that - with the runway folded up as an alternative.

A quick update - just received my kit from ebay and I can confirm it is the correct "part" for use with the Capitol Imperialis and Hellbore.

Well my buddy tried to model a CI in resin years ago. Didn't turn out god enough for Imperail duty, but as a looted Ork version well ... with a bit of bitz'ing I made one. Now the point I'm getting to, although you can see it well, I used Airfix 1/2 Track treads and old GW Dark Future tires for this version ... Image Image Just another option ... 8) Oh, and the camo scheme is based on an old WWII German pattern. I've seen used on Jagdtigers, and other very heavy AFVs ...
