Phew - I don't think I've ever seen the IG be at the receiving end of so much firepower - and those bikes were good too. AND the command gyrocopter!

A great game! And a difficult situation for me: as both IG and Squats occupy the shared first place in my list of favorite armies I don't know whether to cheer or cry...

Hi!
The imperials underestimated the amount of firepower so few squat unints can muster. The gunships and praetorian vehicles really laid waste to the IG. I think it was a mistake to bring warhounds, a reaver with some heavy hitting weapons would have been better.
The squat bikes did well because they were used unconventionally. Instead of hurling head first to engage the enemy, they swung around and had a party in his back lines disrupting the battle plan. He either had to turn and face or ignore and if he turns in place it gets hit from behind.

Yes, the Squats do have a lot of Firepower ! ?But many of their vehicles being a bit slow, I try to use them on the defense, if possible. ?But with the SM1 "Flank Marchers" rules, I use their bikes, trikes and even Squats in Rhinos, as a "Flying Column" to hit the enemies' flank and rear ! ? "Jolly good fun ... Yes !?" ? ? And my Squats are usually allied with the IG and loyal SMs, but traitor forces are everywhere ! ?
