Hi!

Actually Jervis doesn't mind that PDF's of old stuff get offered, but its the legal departments call not his. So in the end it had to be removed. You guys are right though there are places it is still available, some easier to find, some not. No worries, once epic passes into oblivion again they will resurface.... }:)

:oo Oh no! Surrounded by evil people people!!! No... wait, that feels kinda like home   .

I don't have a problem with it, as long as it doesn't effect my site, I am just wary as to what is on my site when the legal eagles start hovering over my shoulder. Hence the purge!

Oh well, at least I-Kore commissioned an artist to help us out, now that is a proper company!

I saw your post on Yahoo, Tom about NetEpic files. Maybe Greg and Squigger should have looked at your files instead of accusing me of trying to start trouble by stating NetEpic was an improvment on SM2 "IMHO".  I guess my point is, and Doug reminded me, that with the E-A (Epic part IV), there is some "sensitivity" out there about rule systems. I was a bit surprised at the vehement reaction to such a minor comment :o . So comment at your own risk ...   :D

Lol, I know, I take comments quite easily as I think different people like different systems. But to get so offended really is not only unsocialable but is also quite rude.

Hence I thought I had best post, as most people just fall silent when a shouting match starts :).

As far as I can see, you did nothing other than make a conversational point.

Hi!

I was surprised at the exchange too, especially with such a low key topic like a couple of questions I anwsered. But you must understand Legion4 that saying "x version is better than y version" on some lists is almost a stoning offense. :;):

Its also a turf issue, netepic has its own list so stating "pro netepic" comments elsewhere WILL draw fire from those who prefer other versions. Mind you, most wont care (I beleive the majority are quite open-minded and could care less about this), but keep in mind that sensistive "fanboys" do exist and will go out of their way to make petty comments.

Thanks guys, I was a bit taken back myself, I guess, I just wanted to make sure, that I was not really out of line and realize it was just a passing comment and I intented no offense.  But I will tread lightly with some topics.  I think you guys know me, and I always say, that everyone should use the rules they like, etc., etc.  I'll make a poor joke before I will insult someone.     :D   Thanks again ...

Legion-4,

I read what you write, but you write so much that sometimes it goes in one ear (so to speak) and out the other. I feel bad sometimes when I put your E-mails into the folder with your name on it and forget to reply sometimes. Sorry! ?:(

I wouldn't let you offend me. You just have a lot of free time to write E-mails on your WebTV screen. I imagine you sit there painting and watching the WebTV, but who knows? ?:O

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

P.S.
I'm on vacation right now so I have a lot of free time as well. Passover is coming tomorrow evening though.

Thanks Max, I can be extremely verbose !    And you have it close to correct, I'm sitting here in my easy chair, on line, on WebTV and watching the news on a smaller set right next to it    :D , my version of "picture in a picture" !  And when I'm painting, the TV is on, so I can listen to the news or the History Channel.  Well enough of my rambling, enjoy your vacation and Shalom ...   :)

Hello all,
I have to go back to the beginning and find out what is a "combined" dreadnought detachment?

Thats a new concept devised by these guys, you can use any combination of "contemptor", "deredeo" and "furibundus" types. These types are based on 1ed Space Marine rules (codex titanicus I think), and ultimatly old 40K rules. The models used are the original metal dreadnoughts released in 1989 (or something like that). Check NetEpic "Armies of the Imperium" for details!

I started playing SM1 in '90, and that's the way we do it. If you look in the E-A rules, Jervis gives various weapons options for Dreads also, based on the models released with E40K. And they will release new Chaos Dreads for E-A, we saw them on TuffSkull's site. And they appear to have various weapons arms too. More info then you wanted to know ? ...
