Hello!

I have a 3 player game tomorrow & was interested to see what people thought of my rules for the scenario.

Set up on 6 x 4 board (as is usual for me).

All 3 forces have the same points costs.

One force sets up in the middle of the board and can rearrange the terrain and set up defences. They are protecting one objective.

The other two forces set up at the short ends of the board opposite one another.

The defending force will be attacked from both sides.

The victor is the force in charge of the objective at the end of turn 5.

Initiative and the sequence of play will be determined by all 3 players rolling for initiative. The sequence will be that the player who rolls highest will be the first player, the player that rolls next highest the 2nd player, lowest 3rd player.

1st player can defer moving a unit until after the 2nd & 3rd players move.
2nd player can defer moving a unit until after the 3rd player moves.
3rd player must move if movement is deferred to him, then 2nd player must move, then 1st player.

1st player may fire first, then 2nd player, then 3rd player.

Seem ok?

Not sure player at the muddle of the battle will survive turn 2...

Even with defenses I think the guy in the middle is in a lot of trouble. Did the other two players even engage each other before the middle guy was pounded to rubble?

The game is still in progress... I know it's not on the scale of Ulrich's battles but this is the most mental battle I've ever played! Squats, IG & Eldar all 5k each.

We changed one rule, the two attacking forces have to acquire 2 of 3 objectives for the win. If the defending force holds on to one, he wins. Also, due to the fact that the Squats & IG have very little in the way of transports, the game will run for 6 turns. We've done 2 so far, and yes, my casualties are beginning to mount up. One objective has fallen and another is about to. But that last one is very well defended, the question is if I can hold out that long! Probably not, but I'm enjoying it!

Will post up pics in the battle report section once it's done. I'm going to have a fair number of battles coming up so unfortunately I won't be writing much for the reports I post at the moment...

The short answer is that both attacking players largely ignored one another until they both started encroaching upon the Eldar territory (that was me!) before the uneasy truce came to an end!
