if i compare this to superheavies, then i do not know, why the tempest keeps the old sm2nd cost value and the shadowsword cost value was increased by 150 points.

and remember you argue that the cost value of the ork land raider (200 points) due to the squad land raider (300 points) is ok, because of the better moral value of the squads, although we are talking about the same vehicle with same satistics. but this by the way.

and now...the eldar tempest has a moral value of 3+ and the imperial shadowsword has a moral value of 4+ the unit statistics are in balance in the summation if you compare move, attack dice, range and so on.

and by the way, if i buy the tempest company, consisting of 6 tempest, i pay 900 points. 400 !!! points cheaper then 6 shadowswords. incomprehensible

3 things:
-Tempest laser is "crappy" against titan because it hasn't got the penetrating bonus (volcano have a +3 penetrating bonus, and that's a big difference for any titans/pretorians, try to kill a nurgle's plague tower or a leviathan without it !)
-Leader: In each imperial super heavy company you get a leader, that can advance in charge, and fire in first fire. That's pretty mean with a volcano canon that can move 20cm and fire before you move !
-3 detachment in one: in a shadowsword company you put a different order for each tank. Not for a "squadron".

Shadowswords are horribles titans hunters for this.

you are right, the penetraiting is the reason why the shadowswords should be cost more then the tempest. but not 400 points !!!! (if you compare 6 by 6)
