I don't know if it's unfair or not...but you can easily shoot and destroy shadowraiders as the save is hard to success (5+) if you go thru the shadow field. You can destroy it with any standard infantry or in CC with a land speeder... not a Shadowsword.
Dreadnough costs the same but have different profiles and +2 to CAF may seems poor but is still a good advantage and will often do the difference between destruction or success. Deredeo or Furibundus are not made to do the same missions. They are not ultimate as the terminators but do not cost the same

When your artillery is charged by a ThunderHawk full of tactical SM, do you prefer protecting it with a sentinel unit or a guardsmen detachment ? I prefer sentinels...+2 to CAF and you can engage the SM and surely prevent your artillery from being totally wiped out...and your sentinels will surely not be all destroyed.
All is balance, this does not mean that all is balanced but players are working on it in Errata threads

why can`t a land speeder squad not beat a shadowsword in cc? they get mutiple dices! do you think that 150 points for sentinel are ok? in sm2 the costs were 100. they have no tsm, bad armor short weapon range..
