I have an idea for a sort of ‘not-kickstarter’ project thingy and was after some feedback from some of my regulars as it were… I wonder if I can share the idea with you and get honest feedback? It really does need to be honest though, so don’t worry about offending if you think it is a terrible idea. Would you be interested in hearing the rough idea? If so drop me an e-mail... (not PM) |

AB Credits Say what now? An AB Credit is like store credit, but better. An AB Credit is an investment in the future of Angel barracks AND a discount on products all rolled into one. What is in it for everyone? I get cash up front which I can use to bring out more new shiny things, for you. You get more out than you put in! Here is how: Credit Levels £25.00 = 30 credits £50.00 = 70 credits How many credits do things cost? For every £1.00 an item is at retail, it costs that many credits. So an RDF infantry pack costs £2.00 which means it costs 2 credits. An OKI secure structure costs £9.00 which means it costs 9 credits. So we can quickly deduce that if you buy £50.00 of credits you get £70.00 of stuff! How does it work? Go to the store and use the Buy Now buttons for getting the credits. The Buy Now means you won’t be charged postage on your transaction! Then I get the credit order details and set up your credit log. When you see something you want, just e-mail me the order, I reduce your credit total and send you the goods. (You will be charged postage though; credits are only redeemable against stock.) So as an example; you want 4 packs of Junker Insurgent Drill Worm Bombs and a Junker Wagon. This costs £11.00. I simply reduce your credits by 11 and send you a PayPal invoice for the postage. What can I spend the credits on? You can spend them on any new release from 2014. Can I buy extra credits? Yes but you can only use credits for things that have not come out at the point of purchasing them. So let’s say you buy some credits on the 1st of March 2014, you can use them to buy things that come out on the 2nd of March or later, but not things that came out before. Why is that? The credits are a way of investing in the future of Angel Barracks, not a way to blag a freebie from the past. Don’t forget, credits are still better value than normal cash. They are also a good because whilst you have money, you can put it aside, with interest, so you can buy that must have new item when you are low on cash in the future. AB Credits, as easy as ABC Thoughts on this idea? |

Sort of. With a gift voucher you spend £50.00 and you get £50.00 of credit in the store. With me you spend £50.00 and you get £70.00 of credit. |

What happens if life gets in the way and you are unable to produce new products ? |

lylekelm wrote: What happens if life gets in the way and you are unable to produce new products ? I can not make a 100% cast iron guarantee that I will make new things. But Angel Barracks is my day job, so I don't imagine life getting in the way will be an issue as this is a big part of my life, as anyone's job is. This year most of my day time has involved looking after my daughter, doing AB things and keeping the house up and running, cooking, cleaning, shopping etc... My daughter has just started school, so next year I should have about 1400 more hours to put into AB than this year. So things should be pretty rosy. |

I have added the ABC page, can you take a look and see if it works, makes sense, and let me know of any issues please? http://www.angelbarracks.co.uk/Credits.html |

Seems fine to me, pretty straight forward once you read through it. This is a clever idea for a small company and the customer gets a sort of trade discount set up to boot. Now you need to do a sneek peek page of possible future products to entise participation. |
