I am working on a small selection of buildings for my 6mm sci-fi that I will be offering through my website in the near future.

Whilst suffering a creative block I wondered about set pieces as well as indivdual buildings.
Maybe a series of structures set onto a 6" x 6" base.
Would this be of any use to you esteemed 6mm gamers?

(I will still be bringing out my indivdual buildings either way.)

Michael.

I'm a fan of weird alien type structures ... :)

like the sound of set designed for 6x6"

something not Gothic would be great...Legion 4's suggestion sounds good...

what about something arboreal in theme or agri-complexes...or mountain stronghold style...

I am working on a few things already that were going to be stand alone but I am now considering putting them on a bigger base and making a set piece from it.

NO gothic or desert stuff here.

I would like to see a pack of buildings design for a 6"x6" base but NOT actually pre based on it. The you could also sell the pack of buildings as one offs as well.

Good, I'm really tired of Gothic buildings for 6mm.

They should be ready in a few weeks.
I am just waiting on some bits for the buildings I made at Shapeways to arrive to stick on them and then off to the casters they go!

WIP

Modular Habitation Units
MHU's (pronounced moo) made by the OKI Corporation

The basic idea is that when you want to colonise a planet you don't want to have to make a quarry to excavate the stone, you don't want to build a metalworks to produce the steel, you don't want to make a refinery to make all the other things that go into making a house.
Plus most of the colonists will NOT be capable of making an entire settlement, unless the colonists happen to be bricklayers, plumbers, electricians, labourers, architects, etc.
Most likely they will be normal people that saved enough cash to get away from Earth.
As such, you want to start your new life as easy as can be.
The OKI Corporation offers you a choice of pre-fabricated MHU's according to your budget.
The colonists simply select the units they require, pay the money and the OKI Corporation will deliver to the planet of your choice the MHU's and assemble them in 48 hours of arriving.
During that time you can stay aboard their transport ship, or maybe you chartered passage on it to begin with?
Either way the OKI Corporation offers you a choice of affordable, stress free, secure new homes for your new life off-world.

Still a few things to do but hopefully you get where I am coming from.

What are you using as the bases for these? I really like the shape.

On these nothing.
They will be ready to place flat on the table or anything you care to put under them.

The base thing is for other one off buildings.
Like say farms with buildings and crops all in giant piece of resin.

Shoot. I was worried I was phrasing that poorly.

What are the main structures made from? They almost look like some sort of handle, but I can't place them.
