Putting together my sisters army from onslaught.
Wondering with others how they distinguish what is what when playing with sisters of battle.
How do you tell the difference between all the Sisters. Is the only actual difference guns at an epic scale? Seems it would be easy to make mistakes using models?
Thanks Norto

Good question and I have good answers. My Sisters army is mainly onslaught. You can check out my blog in the tag, otherwise here goes:
Sisterhood by Onslaught
hecate = battle sisters 4 per base defender = redemptionists 4 per base destroyer = rettributors and celestian. The pack comes with long rifles and shorter stubby guns, get enough to make both units. i did three per base for retributors and three per base for celestians. Athena = dominion again three per base Sisterhood command = for command models (palantine, priest, cannoness) virtus = seraphim 4 per base hellborn gore maidens = repentia = 4 per base hellborn lacerators = arco flagellents - though not the quite the best choice 4 per base exorcist = atropos hunter = juno body and okamai missle turret juno tank = rhino hestia = repressor hera - immolator penitent engines = vanguard miniatures
hope that helps. It turned out nice and the models go together real well and paint up nicely. I did four per base because its easier to paint and flock and 6 stands times 4 models/stand = 24 and onslaught sells them in 25 per pack. Works out good. since most unit sizes are 6 except for mission

I painted my celestines with white helmets,(5 per strip base) and they have the Melta weapons 1 or 2 per base with bolters. A priest, is on one base, both the banner and the Cannoness are on another.
I painted the standard sisters units (5 per strip base), they had a single flamer and 4 bolters per base. Again one base had a priest, and another had both the banner and a palantine on it.
Seraphim (5 per strip base) 1 base had the Palantine on it, and a separate base has the saint celestine and the winged bodyguard on it.
Dominions (5 per base) I put 2 Heavy bolters on the base, and the Palantine/banner - Priest added to bases.
Retributors (5 per strip bases) 2 Melta guns and a heavy bolter 2 bolters on the base. Same again for the palantine/banner, priest.
Repentia, I used again 5 per strip base, and a priest on 1 base, and used the Stygian command packs Slayer fiend (wyches succubus) as the Mistress.

Hey
Thanks for the replies. I was gona roll like you have Deb but the change in units on stands sounds like a good idea for quick distinction while gaming. Maybe I could throw in some ruins or little rocks on different units.
I'll get some pics later on what I decide.

Model facing can be another way to differentiate. With rectangular bases I have some with the models facing forwards and some with them facing sideways

I just went for colour, keeping white as the unifying colour across them all.
Battle Sisters - purple armour with white robes Dominions - white armour with purple robes Retributors - red armour with white robes Celestians - gold armour with white robes
It's a bit less unified overall with the greater number of colours BUT it's really obvious to you and your opponent what models are what.
