I'm currently working on my GC & HH world eaters using the SM2 template but it just doesn't feel right. So my question is to those who know the Old SM1 TO&E; The tactical det lists 4 tactical, 4 support and 2 commanders, Does that mean the commanders get their own stands or are part of one the tactical or support stands; ex. stick a banner pole on the stand as mentioned in the rulebook? |

Roger Tas ... got it ! ?SM1 Tac Det has 8 Fire Tms (ie.= stands) on 2 of the stands are a commander each with a banner ... Representing the Plt Ldr and the 2IC = Plt Sgt ... ? So in our/SM1 system/rules commanders are part of the det. with a banner pole on the stand to ID them ... I will send some pics ... in the future ! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? There were no SPT stands in an SM1 Tac Dets. They were armed with Bolters & 1 Melta-gun. ?The Dev Det. has 4 Fire Tms/stands, each with one Missile Lnchr and bolters plus one of those stands has a commander. ?However we modified that for our E/40K-E:A update. Each Tac stand has 1 Missile Lnchr and each Dev stand has 2 ... ? ?  |

Thanks L4, Though I'm still confused as to the support stands, I've got the article from WD on how to build a SM regt and it has support stands inc. So you replaced them with tac stands and just added a dev mini to each stand instead? Yes, a picture would greatly help

Sorry, I explained that poorly. That's how we modified it at first ... ?And yes, in those original rules that is a Tac det - 4 Tac & 4 Spt = A Tac Det. ?With a Commander is on one of the 4 Tac stands & one on one of the 4 Spt stands ... We put a command fig - an officer with power fist, no helm, on each command stand and a banner pole with flag ... ?Tac stands were Mk.6s and Spt stands - Mk.7s. ? Dev Stands had a Missile Launcher fig with 4 Mk.6s Mks or 4 Mk.7s ... ?Sorry again for the confusion ... I had it think about too ! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? |
