new to here and wishing to start a few armies up of the newer models out there like necrons and chaos troops with old style rules and points costs. does anyone have any guidance or pointers towards people in the know? i'm buying some defilers so that would be a good start. thanks!

Check out the rules NetEpic, which is based on the SM2/TL and incorporates rules for new minis.
