Having merrily criticised Apocalypse and prophesized its utter failure, I am now embarking on the Apocalyptic adventure myself. Looking at my 40K armies I quickly realise that the Orks are the only ones with enough men - er, orks and grots - to make up the numbers, and that's only if I add some impressively huge conversions. So, Orks it was bound to be, and some artistic inspiration helped as well.  :D

So - 'ere we go!  :alien:  :alien:  :alien:

10 minutes into the project and I get derailed!
Ok, here's the deal - 1 Aeronef a month and I get to play with the pretty green Orkses? Please?  :p  :alien:

AH good. Green is good and all that. Now I just hope I don;t get confused and model Orks with monocles sipping brandy and smoking squigars...

Meanwhile - model no. 1 is done. Very green, but there's something wrong about him. Pics later, maybe someone can help me out.  :alien:

I think I may jump on the Apocalypse bandwaggon too. I should be able to easily field 6,000 points of Slaaneshi Chaos, if I can get my Chaos Warhound and Chaos Reaver sorted (which is no small task!)

Built... I have a Forgeworld Chaos Warhound and an old armorcast Reaver titan, both in bits. I have had the Warhound for years now, and never got round to putting it together - two small children make life difficult.

LI I actually finished my Titan about 2 weeks ago.. in preparation for Apocalypse.. I'm now looking at doing a Linebreaker formation of Lemans for my traitor Guard... I should be easily able to field about 6k.

Not bad, Rat - and LI, I'm jealous!
I won't quite be ready next week, as the total no. of Orks which I've completed over the years totals - uh - 1 Bigboss, 4 boys, a bike and a Pulsa Rokkit......

Incidentally, to swell out ranks I'll be adding on a few Imperial tanks, commandeered by Blood Axes :)

A big flop, in my opinion.
But at least the spirit of the Apo. book - having a bit of fun - is good. Hence my jumping on the bandwagon.
Having 7 painted models means that Apo will be long dead by the time I am ready for it....  :(

I agree with CC, but I find myself strangely attracted to Apocalypse.
I know it's a marketing ploy to sell 10x as many tanks and figures for 40K, but still....

Can we have a pic? Just to depress us?

Shame we're on opposite sides of the pond or I'd give you a 6k game...

I've got a spare set of forgeworld titan arms, I'm thinking of getting a baneblade and turning it into a shadowsword or decimator too. Although my wife has made it clear that I need to make my titans and some other bits before I buy anything else!
