Quote (Jimbo @ 28 2003 July,12:55) | Quote (GA101 @ 28 2003 July,20:40) | Also, call me the cynic, but, am I the only one that thinks this whole EoT campaing is an attempt to kill of, or place chaos on the back burner? I've never got the feeling the new managment at GW have ever liked the whole idea of chaos since they took over a few years back... |
as an old-timer I have the opposite feeling that Chaos has grown both in popularity and in terms of models
there seem to be more Army Books and Codices relating to Chaos then a few years back
Chaos takes up a large proportion of the GW stores near me
I may be wrong and you may be right
| I think you are right Jimbo. The level of attention tells me that GW is building, not killing off Chaos.
It seems it would not be wise to create a new major model for an army you plan to kill off.
I think Chaos will be here for some time.

I think I'll give way to the old timers on this, which is a good thing
But I just can't shake the feeling that chaos doesn't lie well with the new GW. But this might be because I am many a mile from the nearest Games Workshop store and my local independant retailer has never realy stocked Chaos in any form of large numbers, even after the new 40k codex was released.
