In the old days I thought there was a person who was called something like sensai or something like it. He had a following and was gaining influence until he was eliminated (can't remember how).
Does this ring a bell with anyone or am I just mixing up old game backgrounds?

weren't the sensei the immortal sons of the Emperor who roamed around with followers, generally maiming the Imperium's foes? Its was a RT era thing that has been quietly dropped I think

Dafrca,
I remember the Sensai well. There was an abandoned plot hook that included the Sensai and the "Star Children" around the RT-era in the early White Dwarfs.

The link I typed in will take you to a compilation of old WD articles including the one about the Sensai.
OK. The article was called: The Sensei and the Star Child based on Realm of chaos: Slaves to Darkness and Lost and the Damned.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
Sensei are immortal sons of the Emperor. He has no knowledge of them because they are "psychic blanks" meaning they cannot be detected by psychic means and the dangers of the warp have no meaning to them. A group known as the Illuminati (who are individuals who have been possessed by chaos and then escaped and therefore is impervious to it) are trying to enlighten these Sensei to sacrifice themselves so the Emperor can be reborn through the Star Child, who is a "fetal god" that is hidden from chaos, but needs the Sensei to be born.

You're welcome.
Hey! Check out that link I posted earlier. There is some classic fluff there.
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
P.S.
What is the word that writers prefer for fluff? Colour background or somesuch?
