Hi All,

Just a quick post, is anyone looking forward to the Eye Of Terror campaign??

I am a little curious to what will actually happen with this. I know their will be a new Battlefleet Gothic Imperial list for it (Just read it in BFG mag 14 :p )

I also heard over at DakkaDakka that this will change the background of the 40K universe forever! }:)  }:)  }:)

Cheers

Chris

Uh....... YES!!

Hehe of course... its been well anticipated and there are stacks of new minis, cool rules, fluff etc, so, how could anyone not?!   Seriously, its looking great, a campaign bigger than Armageddon has to be good. I'm definatly going to be using my BFG Imperials, and probabaly be playing a few 40k games with my Ulthwe Eldar and posibally my new Death Guard if I get them finished. :)

This campaign certenly look intresting and might actually make me dust off my 40K army for a change!

This new Imperial fleet list sounds intresting, did the magazine give anymore details?

Plus the new plstic guardsmen have started to grow on me with the special and heavy weapons.

The campaign has the ability to be a great thing, I just hope it doesn't get rigged or anything.  I would like Chaos (read: bad guys) to win for a change.

I know someone who's seen the cadian plastcis up close.  He said they look really good.  So good, in fact, he's hinking of starting them when they're released.  HE does it with every new army though, so its not much to go by.

It would be interesting if the C'tan play a role in this. Part of me says I hope not, but I want something to happen about the blackstones.

The release of a Seer Council may even get me to dig out my Eldar again, and do some Ulthwe.

The C'tan proberly will play a small role in this, they did after all start the last black crusade (The Gothic sector War!)

And GW will proberly rig the campaign, they did with the Armageddon Campaign and people will be dissapointed once again.

I dont know if 'rigged' is the right word. GW (and us) spend a lot of effort making sure that the ships are fair, the points values are accurate, etc. It is not really a surprise when the result over a huge number of games is quite close to 50/50. One the one hand, this is a shame, as I cant see things moving forward from this either.

CyberShadow's prediction for the EoT event - Chaos will be defeated, but at great cost. Possibly a part of the galaxy will end up being controlled by Chaos, but Abaddon will be pushed back, although not as far as the Eye of Terror. The C'Tan will be ammused.

Interesting.

Now I have a dilemma.  Who do I support?  At the moment I am Ork mad, so would like to game with them.  However, I really like Eldar Fluff (and they were my first army) and so would enjoy defeating the Dark Kin,  and I have a new found desire to do a thousand sons army.  And finally there's my 'Nids, who are always ready to chew on a bit of powerarmour and crisis suits.

Hmmmmmmm. Decisions, decisions.

I heard a new box is coming out for the Eldar, a Seer Council.  I've never fielded Ulthwe, so that might be a nice change.  Although it means building and painting a load of guardians, and I still have more Orks to do.

Orks it is.  (I think)  :{  :oo  :l  ???

Last I heard no new C'tan were to be released and the C'tan weren't supposed to have a tremendous effect on the campaign...

I think the C'tan will be involved on two fronts.  Helping Abbaddon with the Blackstones (in an attempt to destroy them) And locating the black Library.

Woah that does sound cool. The C'tan wil proberly want to destory the Black Libary if anything and whipe out the Eldar once and for all.

I will proberly play with my guard but i do want to see the SM chapters split up :)

I still think GW will fix it though... ???

Edit: Welcome Asmodeus :)

This is one of the two rumours that has been popping up for many months now, the other being that the Blood Angels were going bad.

If I remember correctly, the Blood Angels were about to rebel, or the Ultra Marines were not going bad so much, as declaring Ultramar an independent state, outside the Imperium.

Personally, I cant see either of these happening. Ultra Marines are THE Marine chapter, they are the vanila Marines that the basic Codex is based on. The implication of them not being loyalist is huge, the generic Marine structure may need to be changed. Also, can you see the reaction of all of the players who have already painted up RoboSmurf/Blood Angel armies already?

I have my doubts. It is good to hear about the battle for the webway. that should be interesting.
