There are official pics on the GW site today. They look a bit better in the proper shots and the general army shot is nice atmospheric, but a lot of the design choices are still bobbins.

I think the entire new necron line suffers from too many balls syndrome. Seems that most of the new stuff has these glowing spheres plastered all over them.

other then the two drivers, Im starting to like it. and thankfully it wont be hard to remove those two little inconviences.

and i just preordered 360$ worth of stuff, one or two of each new things mostly.. cept that lychtech, cus it just looks stupid and if i want some of those i can easily convert it out of the extra parts from the other box sets. so 360 minus 270 worth of usless gift cards and unopenned junk = 102$... not to bad... just got wait for the second wave later this month.... :-X

I have to confess that the new models and fluff have started to grow on me. I have never collected Necrons and have no intention of starting now, but I think they do look cool. Seeing the army shot on GW website-very impressive.

Yep, everything's got a more blatantly Egyptianesque name now, along with the tomb kings in space make-over.

So the Necron flyer is a crescent with guns, how inspired... ::)

To be fair, it does help link the 40k and BFG ranges in style a bit more. Before they might as well have been different races.

I am actually liking these more than the infantry pictures that were the first release. Yes, it's blatant recycling from Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Terminator and even Warmachine Cryx, but the Triarch Stalker looks really cool and the Scythe aircraft are nice too. It's just a shame that the infantry let it down in my eyes.
