Cool. I've been waiting for this one to go live.

Not a fan of the battle techy design myself, but always good with more options I suppose. That foam stuff seems like a good idea. Looks a little short on detail.

Funny I'm so sick of faux gothic that these seem a breath of fresh air in comparison. I agree these lack the industrial nightmare of Gedi Prime that I am looking for right now (unny to note, I've been doing deep dives of those models handcrafted in the 84 Lynch version in fact all for my future urban nightmare vision in my head) but that plainness is actually a boon for me in that case. I see these as being ready to pull out all the stops on harsh weathering and building wear, multicolored paints, large sized decals/murals (better to keep the morale of the populace, comrade), etc.

Not sure if anyone here had the joy experience of seeing full on Soviet Russian construction but one thing I'll never forget is the way buildings were continually patched so that there was an almost cancerous network of pipes and ducts that had been grafted to the outside of them. Without a doubt that was a visual influence on the artists that worked on Blade Runner (see the Yukon hotel for what I mean, albeit that was dialed up to 11).

I think you actually could get away with 1 though 2 or 3 would be better of course. I'm planning on financing this with selling off some FW buildings which just don't cut it anymore IMHO. 45USD isn't cheap but on the other hand it's a damn 21cm tall as well so you're def getting your monies worth. I'm actually feeling that the intermixing of them, faux gothic from FW and wasteland and gateshead gaming, and then a few DZC resin buildings will really give the feel of a real lived in urban environment.

I quite like the designs, but there's no way I could afford more than one of them, and I think just one would look a bit out of place without a few others to go with it.

Honestly. Since when did "not a fan of 80s battletech" translate to one eyed devotion to Skullzy church in space? I agree with you. Just did not think these models looked that good. That's all :)

Yeah, their first stretch goal buildings sold me. Backing for 1 of everything.

I figure these ought to make great centerpieces surrounded by the more generic (and cheaper) buildings we normally see.

Hmm, I would be curious to see a somewhat grimdark version of this terrain. So not automatically a cathedral, but a mixture between styles. Can't help but think of some elements of the portrayal of Terra in The Lord Inquisitor: Prologue.

Yeah me too. I could see them being an interesting base to build on though I am wanting to move towards more of a Geidi Prime look myself with them.

I'm thinking a deep dive into an old TV or radio set for parts and raiding some HO scale model kits along with liberal use of plasticard would do the trick.

Hmm, or go a bit in the Antonio Sant'Elia direction. Maybe also look at Weirdingway's Photobucket (please take your time to browse through his stuff). I know it's 28mm scaled, but he's also influenced by David Lynch' Dune, and his aesthetic matches your ideas here and there.

Nice sources malika. Me like. I do Hope that we do not get any more goth stuff. We need humunguous industrial/futuristic (in the 20s sense) type citiblocks.

Personally I would love to see something grimdark, but not fully gothic per se. Or at least tech-gothic, or maybe tech-baroque. Very highly detailed stuff, but not because of gothic styled decoration, but through technological gubbins.

Would love to see something like this, or that or that but then for 6mm scale. :)
