Thanks guys.

Most of the bits are hollow (though that makes casting harder and a greater chance of a miscast). I think in terms of cost it should work out overall better.

Just trying to get quotes done.

This looks really great. Do you have an internal corner piece so you can bend the wall the other way?

I dont have an internal corner piece at the moment. With the cost of the printing I just couldnt afford it. However, should the campaign do really well when I finally get it on indigogo then its definitely on the list of things to do.

Speaking of getting a campaign going I just got pictures of the walls made by the professional caster I sent the originals to. I cant wait until I get them so I can get a set painted. Then its onto an indigogo campaign for anyone that wants a set (the picture shows what would be one "set" of the city walls).

Very nice indeed.

I could see myself being interested in these even though I have my own modular MDF city walls project on the go.

Exciting times! I have finished painting the test model so its nearly time to set up the indigogo campaign! Hope you like the look of the walls, Ive gone for a fairly weathered look without any icons just to show that it can be used for a range of games.

The walls themselves measure just over 3ft long as a set, so enough to end a table edge if you play length ways (giving artillery a chance to soften up the defences before they are assaulted!). They are 4 inches high to the standing platform and the towers around the gateway a huge 11.5 inches tall!

All in all a massive structure to fight a monumental battle over at either 6 or 10mm.

Knowing that it is never going to be a high selling item as people often dont buy terrain when they can spend money on parts of an army I have projected prices at selling around 10 of the sets shown below. After the cost of the casting, mould making and 3D printing the cost for a set will come in around £140 plus postage. However, if more are sold then when we reach stretch goals buyers of a set will get more free bits (I have a forward bunker that match the aesthetic of the towers already made). I will also have three sets for £130 as an earlybird option for those that get in there quick.

The first stretch goal will also allow the different components to be bought seperatly so you can add to you city defences without having to buy a whole new set or if you want some very opulent looking walls they can all have the extended towers normally only found around the gate.

I am just waiting for some models from a friend to take some scale pictures to show how awesome infantry look (the battlements are the perfect height for infantry to fire through the gap is they are 6mm in height and on a standard base) and how the gate dwarfs even the large Baneblade tanks for epic (in fact a standard GW Reaver titan should be able to walk through) and I hope to have the crowdfunder up by the weekend.

Would you consider making smaller buildings in this style in future? These are so impressive.

I would love to yeah. At the price Im selling this I will actually be loosing money unless I sell somewhere between 20-30 of them (I dont expect to) but thats because I made some silly mistakes in the production process.

If this is successful (as in the crowd funder gets funded) then I fully intend to do some more. Add ons for the walls and smaller buildings.
