I had a crazy idea to make a conversion kit to convert a 40k scale imperial knight model to an epic imperator (personal use model)

Yeah the scale works out, 166 feet is about 1/300 scale 7 inches.

It's going to be for early heresy Dies Irae, so not any chaos symbo;s to speak of, but I may add trophies to the model when it's together.

These bits (should; need test print of the fit parts) fit into the top port, shoulder rails and exhaust port plugs of the knight model. I need to do some cleanup, maybe add a collegia titanicus sumbol to the bastion shoulder platforms, make a frontal quake cannon port to the centre bastion, make some under carapace guns, make a crotch gun, then sort something out for leg bastions (I think maybe just some bits to pin to the existing knight shin armour, a central battle cannon with some window portals at either side)

Hmm, those bits could have other uses too... Are they available for acquisition anywhere?

I cant be bothered casting it, but I might put the bits on shapeways.

I was waiting for something like this to happen...

CADing the bits to turn it into the Warmonger variant might be useful - as it is, whilst looking great, it'll cost (overall, with knight) about 4-5 times what buying an imperator on ebay would.

I'd get some, if you do. Especially if they came with flat bottoms too.

I have built it divided into parts that would let me build a warmonger variant in the future too, yeah

Not interested in Imperator as have a couple already.

But a Warmonger on the other hand.....

Fire centre finished! I will have to make neater eagles I think, however.

I never thought I’d be interested in a $200 Imperator or Warmonger, but this could end up looking great! Wouldn’t it be too big, though?
