Easiest conversion Idea I ever had, super simple.

all you need is a clear rod about 3mm thick . what ever length you would like, the higher the better it looks.

a BFG ship from your army type .

and a hex from the Expansion: Planetary Empires ,there's a 2 pack expansion of a hive city. its the cheapest one.

and bam! you will never forget to do a orbital bombardment again with this bad boy on your table edge. XD

sorry its not painted I have a lot of terrain projects this year so painting is on the way side. :) enjoy!

So it's like having a BFG ship on a normal base, except it costs more and you can't use it for BFG anymore?

I mean, thats pretty cool looking, but I'm not sure it's a particularly useful idea. I'm pretty sure the standard proceedure is to use a BFG ship already...

I am considering doing this for use in an actual Planetary Empires map though

I'm glad you brought that up! it was semi serious post with a bit of a jest sorry I should have used more winky faces ;) but I was just putting the idea out there.
I made it so it comes off the stand for duel purposes it can go back on the BFG stand if I wish. :)

I started magnetizing my BFG fleets. Ships of cruiser size and larger really need it for transportation/storage anyway or they break off their bases. In that context, as long as your polarities are consistent, a bombardment base for Epic is just one more base. :)
