It'll be after payday for me as well. Hoping for one of the 'Sculpt me a human leader' slots, would a female commisar/peaked cap officer-type figure be too risky? Or even possible?

I'd enjoy sculpting a gurl. :-)

The lack of poses is all that's keeping me from pledging immediately – if we go for the 'Sculpt me a [X] leader' pledge, could the work done on the custom sculpt be used to help provide options for everyone else?

e.g. If I take the leader pledge, could I instead ask for the money to contribute to another rifleman/axeswinger pose?

+Edit+ Hell, add a pledge option for £600 for the sculpt – while I can't afford that sorta scratch, there might be some kind soul who does.

If enough people clubbed together to donate £600 with that specific intent, I'd certainly add a second rifleman pose. Or a missile trooper, or whatever else was requested (as long as it's relevant, I suppose. No naked chicks. Maybe a puppy.).

I can create a specific £600 Rifleman Perk for you (split into smaller bite-sized chunks) if you'd like visual confirmation that your specific Perk was being worked towards. If it hit the full £600 I reckon I could find some spare cash out of my own pocket to send a special model to each "Rifleman" contributor - perhaps a unique leader figure only available to "Riflemen" contributors.

Remember that the funding to get us an extra Rifleman would need to be above and beyond the initial £2250 goal.

Sounds cracking to me. I'll keep an eye out for updates.
Good luck, E&C, I'd love to see this work out well for Troublemaker :)

Right now the margins are very tight, and this is really just about giving something back to the community. :)

Righty-ho, started spreading the word to some other fora that I frequent, and have put my cash right in the troublemaker. :)
I clearly got too enthused to wait!

Slightly over a tenth of the way there at the mo.

Interesting - Keep on bumping this E&C as it'll be next month for me too.

Same from me, in for it but currently strapped for cash after last few weeks :/

Main thing i'd like is bases separate (or even no bases, if it meant more figures). I'd be buying this for the figures not the bases, and the bases take up a lot of sprue space. Having 14 figures of each race per sprue with bases in multiples of 5 holes also seems odd (sprue space, sure, but still …).

If the crowdfunding goes high enough, that'll definitely happen - we've already done some flow studies with the humans that say we can get up to 80 figures on a sprue if we just go with infantry. Or we can do ~55 figures & 4 IFV's.

It's totally dependent on the level of support we get from the community - if we just meet target, then we get two armies covered with the basics on a single sprue, and maybe a few metals. If we smash the target, then we'll put out an entire range including multiple plastic sprues, separate bases, etc.

Do you want me to set up the "Apologist's Riflemen" Perk?

It's been quite some time since last I came on the forum, but I've pledged.

Sounds great! Somewhere around £65/£70 would be the sweet spot for me.

Not sure how you want to phrase it though – to be clear, from my perspective, I'd just like the project to be a success so I'd be very happy for the funds to go towards either side's alternative sculpts. If anything, the hulked-out side would benefit from the second pose first – one with the left foot forward, one with the right, rather than the static one we have now?

While 'Apologist's Riflemen' has a wonderfully ego-warming ring to it, I think it'd serve the greater good better if it's called 'Alternative poses fund' or something ;)

For me I would much rather have men than bases, it is the models that people want to buy. I can make my own or buy bases depending on what shape I want to use. I would rather bases were a stretch goal/perk or some other option (maybe a separate base sprue available at a fixed price which people can add to their pledge?). If it as just men and tanks on sprues I would be in for a couple of boxes.

Matt

Heh, you should pick the "Name that Army!" pledge instead. ;-p

If that's the case and it's not to be aimed toward a specific goal, I'll hold off on implementing it until/unless we reach the initial funding goal.

As I noted above, that'll happen, but only if we can pass the required initial funding level.

If we can't get enough funding to split out the sprues, then we have to be able to provide everything a player would need in one neat package - ergo, the "baseline" sprue has bases on it.
