I much prefer the earlier version; those thrusters don't look Imperial and are more reminiscent of undead robot ones. I reckon you'd be better switching back or doing a different design.

I think those thrusters look okay. I get the idea they are supposed to be reminiscent of the ones on the lunchbox. Maybe they could have cylindrical bits sticking out of the rectangular vents, as with the lunchbox, but really I think the angle of the vent box is what matters most, and that looks okay.

I think all the details are coming together nicely. Now with the side thrusters it looks close enough (although distinctly different) to the dropship in the Exterminatus comic book to make it suitable for Imperial in my mind.

Sorry for the threadomancy here, but I wonder whatever happened to this project. If this thing is so expensive to product, why down 'shrink' it to a version that could transport a single squad of Novan Elites?
