I have a minor update...

Even though the market for the objective bunkers has been a bit soft [thinly veiled ploy to generate more orders], I've got a few more xenos structures in the pipeline. They are all small tower type structures, similar to grain silos and telephone poles (but appropriately xenos-esque).

One of the structures is meant to be equivalent to a broadcast/cellular tower, and I'd like to get people's opinion on something: how tall should it be? Keep in mind this is a mast tower and not a building.

The design I'm currently working with is a tad taller than 3 inches (just under 8 cm), but I'm concerned that it is too tall. A previous iteration of this tower model was 2 inches tall (some of you may have gotten hold of one of those), but that didn't seem tall enough to me. Also, the rest of the models I'm working on (the silo, the phone pole, the sensor station) are less than 2 inches tall. This new model is noticeably taller than those.

So, does anyone have an opinion?

Make it pretty. 3" is tall, but acceptable. What is the base size? Similar (20-30mm)?

Ref: soft market - My own Xenos realignment is on hold for now, but I'll be sending an explorator team to search for objectives when it gets back underway.

Base size is 14mm diameter (common base for silo, sensor station, and tower), with ribs sticking out a bit further.

The idea is that one or two of the towers or silos could share a 60mm base with a bunker to create a small vignette, or have two by themselves on a 40mm base.

As soon as I have finished all 3 rulebook armies, Eldar will be next for me. So definitely interested in them- might not be until new year unless I manage to get work beforehand.

Cheers

James

Maybe (secret person in France) could paint a few pretty ones for you, in exchange for merchandise? He does a great job on the space elves.

In all honesty, aesthetic is more important to me than height. If it looks appropriately xenos, sleek and nicely proportioned (and I'm sure it will based on your other pieces), you can get away with anything!

PM and plain email and plain email with attachment sent.

Hopefully the one with the attachment will make it through the lines (the others are just diversions to draw the enemy's fire).
