Yeah, and a driver at ground level doesn't have the best perspective on the battlefield (especially with mud/dust/smoke), isn't shooting/aiming the guns, and probably is not in command of the tank. It makes more sense to me that a tank commander would warrant a personal force field and could more safely stick his noggin out of a hatch (at a higher location on the tank) to direct the tank's actions. Ben - not stupid - innovative and outside the box - some work better than others with wider acceptance and others don't. They are your tanks (some will be mine as well!) - do what you want - I'm just floating my own perspectives with equal chances of being accepted, challenged or rejected by the masses.

Oh, and I hope they wear REALLY good earplugs and have thick skulls so that their brains aren't turned to jelly by the blast concussions. For a GW ork - not much of an issue - already really dim-witted and the more noise/dakka the happier they are - but a Skinner has human level intelligence and is therefore maybe more susceptible to meaningful brain damage.

Moa and Kakapo STOVL aircraft are finally available again from TMG, in mk2 (20% larger than the mk1's) form.

Great news about the Kakapo and Moa! So, are you just going to send replacements to those who bought the original smaller (and often broken) ones? Did you keep track of those?

I don't know if this was brought up, I only skimmed through to the end, but was there any thought to just make some modular hulls for your original skinnerz transports, to turn them into dedicated tanks?

I do like these skinnerz tanks, however.

Anyone who wants to send back their mk1's to be melted down can have free mk2 replacements.

I have a more interesting idea for re-using the chassis from that set... ;-)
