You're right on the plinth being a bit of a waste of material. But it will overhang the edges and give a bit of cover to smaller vehicles like attack bikes and ork buggies without giving cover to actual tanks. I think its good to have a bit of variation like that in what can get cover. Also Id only use it for some buildings that are more important.

I do plan on doing more buildings as well, though I needed to start somewhere and some standard looking buildings seemed like a good place to start. And having seen the troublemaker buildings these have much more detail. That was part of the reason to make them, having a battlefield that just looked cooler :D

Yep, yours are much more detailed. They are very nice indeed. Its just that with Wasteland and others producing very fine stuff too, I wonder if the "6mm++ Grimdark" genre is becoming saturated. Admittedly, this is quite a pleasant problem, though :D .

I hadnt seen the wasteland ones before. They look pretty nice as well. A similar idea of having the corner columns as a separate piece.

Ive also started a similar looking bunker as well (though I think mine will be a bit bigger in terms of dimensions).

But as you say its always awesome to have a lot of choice :D

Bases made. The roofs as well. Next they are off to the printers to see how they come out :D

Roof looks good. It is actually rather difficult to find a plastic sheet with the right size tiles for scratch building. Or at least I have not come across any...

Id found the same nitpick. And just using plastic sheeting seemed a little boring as a lot of the time is spent looking down on the roof.

Hoping to get them back from the printers tomorrow.

There's plenty of tile textured card in here of various sizes which would work.

Thanks jimmy. Though what I was looking for was nice size squares, which I peculiarly have not found yet. Yes. I am picky. :-)

So got the building parts last night and did a dry fit:

Image

No base yet but Im liking the look of the building. However I have found a problem; the groove on the columns arent quite enough to hold the buildings without the aid of bluetac (what IM using in the pic) or glue. Now obviously when putting these together this isnt a huge problem as they would be glued together. But there is a problem as I want all the corners to be square. So Ive redesigned the column to have supports that will be behind the walls to hold them in place:

Should have them by this evening :D

With the reprinted columns (not with support beams) and the base (which didnt print perfectly but will do for now :p) heres the smaller version of the building:
