I am tired of the inconsistencies of the GW crackle paint. If you just need a single tub it is great but both the colour and the amount required to get the same size cracks seems to vary. So a new approach. Gone Vallejo paste and decided to go for a desert landscape. Here are some test bases (the models are only 75% painted).

I have painted the infantry as Imperial Firsts, while and the 6mm gladiators are now 3mm House Paladin and House Malinax Knights. Also, I have gone for round bases, I think they look nicer than the rectangular ones. I am really happy with the Vallejo paste and think will rebase everything I already done using this approach. Here we have 50mm bases for the full platoon, 40mm for siege armour, whilst the two knights are currently both on 25mm bases but I intend to have them 2 per 50mm base.

There are already some Skinner tanks available: https://vanguardminiatures.co.uk/shop/3 ... -horde-s1/

For more updates I would recommend joining the Dominion group on Facebook. :)

Eloi will be some time but I do hope to see a Skinnerz wave 1 release before christmas at the latest. :)

Wave 2 of the Novan regulars should be out before then too.

Yes those old models would certainly work at 3mm scale.

Two stands of heavy weapons. After much deliberation I went with 50mm bases despite only having 9 models per base. It allowed them to spread out more lengthwise.

Image
A full company except for the command staff and transports. 4 platoons and 1 heavy weapon platoon split across two bases.

Image
A company of Siege armour, minus the command staff. I am taking Siege armour as having half sized platoons. Also on 50mm to allow them to spread out more.
