I've been very well behaved, i've managed not to buy any more 3mm scifi after my first sample order. Not only that, but i've started painting what was in that order! Aiming to make two small forces, one in each of the colours schemes I showed last time.

So far i've done about half of the white force: a pair of command tanks, 2 heavy tank platoons and some SPG

Not sold on the basing yet, but I don't have much with me in terms of basing options :P

They'll be joined by a mech inf platoon and a light assault mech platoon (made of metal epic 6mm robots).

Here's the lot of both armies, with a few 6mm minis sprinkled in:

Also got myself a DRM dropship to use as an ultra heavy lander at 3mm scale, not decided which colour scheme I want this in yet though:

That's a lovely assembly there? Whence came those Mechs? I recognize the Quad as a modded Microworld one but the "heavy suits" are new to me!

The dropship scales superbly!

They are old metal epic 'cataphract' robots, see here: http://www.solegends.com/citcat911/c212 ... als-00.jpg scale nicely for single pilot mecha. I like the look of the O8 mechs (and i think they might work well as 6mm robots), but I had the old epic minis to hand, so … :P Also got a couple of old epic rapiers, 6mm rapier = 3mm cerberus

They look good but the bases on the tanks are too big, with lots of empty space. I reckon they'd look better on rectangular bases.
