Did Mr. Hall really turn it down? Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember that this article was submitted as an entry to the special ships competition, wasn't it? If that was the case, then I wouldn't say Mr. Hall turned it down, rather it did not meet the contest criteria.

Don't get me wrong. It looks great though I still have to read up on everything and it's an article that I would see being featured at FOM. Just seeking clarification on whether it was turned down or not.

The reason why Andy Hall turned it down is because no development work on the Q'orl has been done by the chaps in the Studio, and therefire SG are not allowed to pre-empt them by detailing something about the race which would later have to be contradicted in another game system.

Unless that changes, and someone (Jervis would probably be my best bet, as he's already okayed my Gue'senshi concept back in the day, and he's pretty cool to correspond with - when he has the time!) I won't get much farther than I have with the list, sadly. (I was really dissapointed for Chris as well - his ship designs are great, and deserve more attention!)

I did send the Q'orl to Forgeworld, but they never got back to me about it - maybe you guys should try to get together and express your interest in the Swarmfleet to FW?


To be honest, coming off the back of the whole mess regarding the forum CPF list, the Q'orl rejection was the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of BFG for me - and I've only played it once since. (It sucks, but my appreciation of the game has been sapped by this... plus the one game I did play saw my CPF get smashed by the 'crons!)
