Hi,

Really don?t know. However a single Strike Cruiser can transport 1 entire company plus armour. A Battlebarge can transport 3 companies + armour.

You can look at the Ultramarines.
They have 3 Battlebarges, 8 StrikeCruisers and 12 RapitStrikeVessels. Thisnumbers are given bevore GWs invention of the SpaceMarine escorts.

The ultra's actually have their own realm, so need a fleet big enough to patrol/control it.  (Space Marine Dominion fleetlist)

The Templars probably are a bit bigger, with each Crusade having at least a Strike Cruiser + escorts, maybe more.

The Dark Angels are also pretty big in the fleet world, what with the Rock, and all.

Umm, yes :)
I'd say make it up, write fluff, circulate in an underground fashion as if its official and voila! it will be :)

The large SM fleets would be(In no order):
Ultramarines- See them having a wide range of ships. 3 BB, 10-12 SC, 30+ Escorts
Dark Angels- 1 Rock, 5 BB, 14 SC, 30 Escorts
Imperial Fists- 1 Phalanx, 3-5 BB, 12 SC, 30 Escorts
Black Templars- 5 BB, 12-16 SC, 30+ Escorts

UM need to cover and protect a large area of space, so a variety of size ships with a dependency on escorts. Dark Angels (I have put much thought and time into) need many large ships as I believe there would be built in training, repairs and other facilitates that you would find on a Homeworld, plus enough strength to redirect for a "Hunt". Imperial Fists would be similar to the DA but the need for such a rapid support deployment, therefore I would say they have slightly less SC. As for BT, I believe there crusade would splinter off from main BB groups making the need for SC's higher.

BA I see having the need for the basic. 2-3 BB, 6-8 SC, 20 Escorts. The ships are more used as Transports than anything else and most likely would be support by the Navy in any space action. The fleets above for various reasons would mostly likely fight alone. BT out in the middle of nowhere, IF if attacked otherwise they would be in smaller numbers and support by Navy, DA do there own thing and Hunt down Fallen, UM protecting a region of space and mostly likely have Navy support as well.

Just my 2 Cents...

Dead Thread Arise!

Ultramarines have best cooperation with Imperial Navy in its Segmentum.
