What would you say the size difference would be between a Space station and a Orbital Dock?

I've got a couple of models that I want to use but not sure what to use them for.

One of them is about 6cm long & I was thinking this would be a Space station & the other one is about the size of a 50p, it might be a tad bigger.

?:O

I'd appreciate any insites... :blues:

It should say Space Stations, don't know how to edit the title...

I would say an orbital dock would be slightly bigger than a basic station.. your 6cm one sounds fine for a space staion, but the 50p one would be more of a defence platform imo- the FW and GW ones are approximatly that sort of scale iirc....

In game terms, I would guess that a Space Station is only set up to dock a single small vessel such as an Escort, for transporting troops and supplies to and from the station. A dock would need to house a number of cruisers and possible conduct repairs and even construction.

On the board, anything smaller than a cruiser could be considered a Space Station, while I would say that a Space Dock would need to be at least 2/3 the length of a cruiser and most often bigger.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Orbital platforms when talking about stations being smaller?
Space Station has 2 more hits than a OD and far larger weapons array.
The Orbital Dock is just for transferring cargo from starships to landing craft, the Station has full manufacturing and residential facilities according to fluff.

Id simply say the following...
Orbital Defence Platform = 50p size.
Space Station = Equale or larger than a large BFG base.
Orbital dock = Same as a Space Station just needs to look different, ie, have ovious docking equipment.
Thats just my uninformed oppion :;):
