Hello there!

Today I tought about a completely unfluffy but good combo of marks IMO: Nurgle + Khorne.

If Inread that correctly mark of nurgle prevents you being boarded and gives you +1 hit points while mark of Khorne doubles your hit points modifier in boarding actions.

So, if we take that into consideration a mark of nurgle is effectively giving youi a +2 to your hit point calculation in boarding actions. Is that correct? Seems a good combnination to me.... Not cheap, buit if yu are taking thr mark of Nurgle the extra 20 points might be handy for that much extra punch in assaults. Am I correct?

Cheers,

Xavi

I'm unsure.  Usually when you have situations like this, you double values before adding individual points.

For example -> Eldar Striking Scorpian Exarch in 40K.  Equiped with a powerfist and has the power crushing blow.

In this example you are required to double your strength first, before adding the crushing blow bonus for a total of S9.

I know this is for a different games system, but GW usually stick to the same principles.  So I would say, double the normal ships boarding value and then add the nurgle bonus.

However, I would talk to your opponent before the game to make sure there is no confusion.

Hmm... you could be right.... I posted the question in the BFG yahoo list as well. Let's see what they think about it :)

Cheers mate.

Health and a lot of sixes,

I am with Shadow Hunter on this. If there are two interpretations of an upgrade combination, you should usually take the least effective.

Also, if I remember correctly, Nurgle marks stop you being boarded, but you can be boarded as the result of a failed boarding action that you initiated.
