Post subject:  Updated rules and official fleet lists/ships

Hi

Trying to get back into BFG after long break. Played when game first released and then some 5-6 years ago. In the last 2-3 years I have played a couple of games. So bit rusty but should remember the basics.

I seem to remember something about a revised V2 of basic rulebook. Was this ever released as either hard copy or even soft copy PDF. Something like the Living Rulebook for Bllod Bowl. Other than Armada (which I have) is there any other official rules update?

What about variant fleet lists or ships designs? Ignoring any House Rules or homebrew ships, which ones are official?

Cheers

James

THe rulesbooks for both armada and BFG have been released and are on the specialist games website and the main GW one. I believe they are the most current. I think the printed ones you can buy from GW ave most of the new changes, but I don't have them so I can't confirm.

The currently sold rulebook is the latest, v1.5. This can also be downloaded from the website.

Armada is still the same and can also be downloaded or bought.

On the SG site you can download the following official rules as well:

The following has all Official PDF's, every other pdf not in this list is not official:

http://www.specialist-games.com/battlef ... lebook.asp

These pdf's are thus official but not sold:

Yriels Raider (Flame of Asuryan)
Doom of the Eldar (Craftworld Eldar)
Ships of Mars (Adeptus Mechanicus)
Powers of Chaos (Terminus Est - Nurgle Chaos fleet)
Fabric of the Imperium (Rogue Traders)

There is also the latest FAQ (1.5).

Special note, on mentioned website you can download the Forgeworld Tau rules (also on FW site). These are the rules from IA3:Taros Campaign + fleet list. They are under experimental rules but wide accepted as the official ones.

Thanks

I already own the original BFG rulebook and Armada, as I had mentioned.

I have downloaded the FAQ and various other files from SG website. I was asking about their status b=because I am still uonfused as to the varying status of Epic lists. I wanted to make sure about status of BFG variant fleet lists before I used them.

I take it that other the V1.5 FAQ that not any closer to V2 rulebook, that I remember being discussed on SG forums.

Cheers

James

v15 rulebook is the version which was called v20. But they where only allowed to make minor (Emperor/Retribution) and/or wide supported changes (Nova + Ordance)

Ahhh, but where is the rulebook at now?
the site specialist games has been shut down with the promise of moving it to the epic 40 k site,
although i did not find anything new there....

Look at the other thread you started, as said: SG is not moved to epic40k site.

All official rules can be found (for download) on the new Games Workshop site.
