The list i used was something like this:

1 Trade Galleon Weapon Type 3, Armoured Prow, Boarding Parties, Extra Shield, Extra Turret, Bombers, Prow Torpedoes. Total: 280 points

6 Pinaces with Extra Shields: 240 points

2 Escort Carriers with Bombers: +120 points

5 Xenos vessels (from the old RT list, i didn?t have any other ships available) 300 points (they got the +5cm movement xenos system) 300 points

4 Cargo ships for free

1 reroll

As incredible as it may seem, the galleon didn?t receive a single shot in the whole battle, so i can?t guess how much effective it was (although thei bombers were effective against the bastions)). Also, i forgot about the extra shielding of the pinaces, so one of them should still be alive.

Now, three questions about the rules:

- Can you use the rerolls every turn or only once per battle?
- Do you need to take Ld tests when trying to fire against more than one target? (i don?t think so but the demiurg player thought otherwise)
- Why are the bombers so brutally effective????

Nice list.

Which lay-out did you use exactly?

*Re-Roll = Once per battle. (Use them wisely?.)
*How do you mean fire against more targets? You do need to test for Ld when firing at another ship then the closest one. (except: if closest has blast markers in contact, you can shoot at another vessel without Ld test.)
*Bombers are not effective?.. Explain on what they did, maybe something went wrong?.

I downloaded a word document that contains 3 kinds of capital ships and no escorts. It is in page 4. Is that the last version of the fleet? It does not seem like a complete fleet lists... I did not see "pinacles" there, for example.

-When i was talking about firing against various targets, i mean: if you have an enemy at port and another at starboard, do you need to pass a Ld test for using your port armament against the port enemy and your starboard armament against your starboard enemy?

-About bombers, people here use them like this: first you shoot your turrets against them, every 4+ killing a marker from the bomber wave. Each of the survivivng bombers then roll a dice - the number of turrets of the ship. That number is the number of rolls you have to do to hit against the lowest armour valur of the vessel. That way, a huge wave of bombers which touches something with 1-2 turrets (like most cruisers...) can annhilate it with some lucky rolls.

Definitely a rematch is to be done :D

Hey, weren?t we supposed to take some pictures??

you are correct on both things Yuber. I tend not to put to much trust in my bombers. Sometimes they cripple something, but most of the time I use my carriers to interfere with my opponents bombers and fighters to ensure that my torpedo salvos get their targets :).
Nice report by the way, I hope to do some playtesting myself soon, but I'm not quite sure what kind of list I'll be using.

By the way, my computer is up and running again, and the techpriest managed to save most of my data ( including all my work on the RT-fleet list and my conversion article :) )

I've almost finished my conversion article, I only need to photoshop a few pictures to make it clear :). After that I'll start work on my article about the Fleet list.

Really beautiful. I too would like to know how to make such a vessel :)

As a side note, i again tested the RT fleet against the Demiurg. Well, actually it was a friend of mine who is some kind of master rolling 1s when determining Ld. It was a cruiser clash:

Original deployment

The toilet paper was used as cosmic clouds. The battle started with the RT aproaching and launching al of it?s ordnance, to which the Demiurg answered in the same way

IMG]http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c299/Yuber_i/RTB2.jpg[/img]

The pinaces managed to get close enough to shoot a torpedo salvo at close range, inflicting 0 damage. Then they were annhilated by a massive assault gunboat wave.

The next turn the Demiurg recharged their ordnance and almost fried out the RT cruiser, which had left just 1 structure point. At that point the guys decided to finish the battle.

Then they tried a new fight with my friend using his homemade fleet

But that?s another history...

Nice bat rep.

Could you provide some more close up photo's of the RT cruiser for Warp Rift?

The scratchbuild:

Upper side (on pic):
Chaos bridge
2 Chaos Launch Bays
2 Chaos lance decks + turrets
+ cut up deck
1 turret on prow
prow = hatch of a 40k rhino
various antennas

underneath: (now shown)
main hull structure:
two rhino doors
chaos bridge cut up
40k marine shoulder pad
antenna's.

Did it in 2 hours while watching tv.

Just sent me your bitbox and I'll build one.

I'll try to take a picture, although i seem to have a real problem with my camera (it always makes extrange things with the light).

Unfortunately my bits box has not so much inside it :( . It would be good for me to make some lorcha (and to buy some idolators).
