What do you think about the Epic 40K Wave Serpent? I think the attack as disrupt was brilliant. But I wonder if, instead of 6+ armor, it should have had 5+ and a save. It is pretty vulnerable to AT weapons, as well as the 6s in a handful of FP dice. How much more should it cost if so? andy |

I agree the way the Wave Serpent was presented in the original rules that it could be nigh invulnerable from the front so maybe put some balance in by giving it a save to shots from the front arc and an additional 10-15 points? How much extra points are Terminators over Space Marines? You could also say it's a field generator upgrade or a Craftworld variant if you wanted to introduce some variety to the list. I think the key thing about Eldar vehicles in general is remember that shooting at them is like shooting a musket at a mosquito. That one time you manage to get a few sixes on them should feel like a real accomplishment. I don't think you want to make them too hardy. |

Terminators add a Save to Marines, but don't reduce armor. The Wave Serpent is current armor 6+, no save. I'm suggesting 5+ and save. That will be equivalent in some cases, but better in others, so should be a little bit more, but not too much. I'd prefer the simpler save to rules about direction. As a matter of fact, when I got to thinking about it, I was surprised they didn't do it that way the first time. Seems like it would make sense. andy |

I've read the OP's comment about the Wave Serpent, and took some time to think about it. However I agree with KevinW to leave it as is. Armour 6+ for a vehicle is good enough. |
