Hi. So just a quick question. Does anybody know if there are any tournaments that happen on a regular basis that use the Epic Space Marine 2nd edition rules set?
Thanks for any replies.

None that I know of. EA is it for the tournament scene. I've heard of SM/TL con games down at Cold Wars and Fall In though.

Thank you Dave. May I ask you another one? did Games Workshop ever make the Space Marine 2nd edition and Titan Legions 2nd edition as a free download for the general public?

I think Epic 40k really wasn't much of a tournament game but I've found it to be the best I've played for campaigns and storytelling.
There is a version of second edition called "NetEpic" that became a thing out of the backlash against Epic40k and it's essentially second edition with the kinks ironed out. It's a free download and is a pretty decent set of rules.

Not a download, but you can find the rules across the webs.

Ok thank you both. The reason I am wondering about the second edition rules set is because I am interested in trying to get some 2nd edition Epic tournaments going in my local game store. If they had made a free pdf of the game rules for download then it would make it much easier on people to get a hold of the rules and start collecting.

That'll be an up hill battle that's a steeper hill than the EA one.
Where are you located?
