Hi all, I just thought I'd put together a quick Adepta Sororitas list for Epic 40,000. I saw the fan-made Toco list, but I felt it diverged too much from the Warhammer 40,000 Codex. Let me know what you think!

Nicely presented, though it's been so long since I played E40k I can't comment much further than that sorry!

Thank you. After a little playtesting, I am considering adding the following army special rule to balance out the Sisters' lack of psykers:

Purity Seals - The Adepta Sororitas go to battle bearing the litanies of their faith, confident that the Emperor will protect them from any witchcraft or deviancy that the heretic might devise. Whenever a unit in a Sisters of Battle detachment is targeted by psychic Fate card, you may play any Fate card from your hand and treat that card as a psychic Fate card with a value of 1 for the purpose of negating the opponent's card.

Nice work! You're correct about my divergeon from the Warhammer Codex. I based my list on the availability of 6mm miniatures (by Onslaught).

Regarding the images and lay-out, I tend to avoid re-using official art where possible.

Hello Commander Karth! I have revised my Sisters of Battle army list. The units and detachment compositions are now based on the Warhammer 40,000 army. You can still use miniatures from Onslaught offcourse.

New: Stats and cost for the Immolator vehicle have been added to the PDF at http://www.tocoking.be/homerules .

Wow. This is awesome. Exactly what I had in mind in the other thread.

Hey Toco, sorry I may have missed this the first time around. Very neat. I'm a bit curious about the other units though, and why do the Sisters have 4+ armour? In the Sisters Codex, they have power armour and toughness 4, just like Space Marines. The other units ("Retributors," "Repentia," etc.) aren't in 40k 2nd Edition and so are probably somewhat anachronistic to Epic 40k 3rd Edition.

I think you are right, by the way, and my Immolator is priced too inexpensively. It either should be reduced to Firepower 3 or boosted to 18 points (or maybe both). On the one hand, the Immolator is the deadliest flamer in Warhammer 40k 2nd Edition. It can fire a double-wide stream (which required a special template in 40k) or fire a double-concentrated heavy flamer burst. Just giving it the same firepower as a Hellhound seems insufficient. On the other hand, even at 18 points, it would be the cheapest Firepower 4 unit in the game. Granted, it doesn't really have brilliant armour, but still...

Hi, I think 4+ is fine for the Sisters. The 2nd ed Codex was "official" for only about a half year after which the 3rd ed was launched and the Sisters given more suitable Toughness of 3 so even GW realized they made a mistake with T4. They're tough ladies in power armour but still normal humans and not genetically enhanced super-humans like Space Marines.

I agree.
