My goodness.

Ive just been onto GW specilist games website and low and behold, they have put the price up again !

A Chaos sprue is now £15.00. When did this happen ? It was £12.00 last time I looked which was NOT that long ago. The trouble is I should of bought some when I wanted to, i.e. when they were £9.00 a sprue.

Can anyone explain this crazy steady increase ? So what do you think, buy now before they go up more or kid myself and think the price will go down ?

The prices won't ever go down, just look at GW's stance on prices in Aus. With the exchange rate it should be cheaper but they'd rather keep prices up instead.

Mmmm, just don't understand why they put an expensive product up more.

Should of got some when they were "cheaper".

When asked why the price had not dropped because of the higher australian dollar - no response,
When shown that it was cheaper to buy in UK including airmail postage - response - stop european retailers selling to australian customers.
sad really.

LOL! My response? Ask my mate in England to buy it for me and ship it, thus saving $200. Priceless :D

My response to the crazy GW prices downunder - spend the money on other companies like Dark Realm and Exodus Wars.

I hear you.
I still have not taken the plunge yet but today I was thinking, if they discontinued the line i'd be REALLY p#*#ed off and wished I'd bought some.

So..waiting for pay day.

Over a year ago I bought a load of EpicA stuff from GW as because I was bored buying bits piecemeal on ebay. Ignoring the cost vs convenience thing the casting quality is absolutely uniformly awful. Don't believe me? Check my blog in my sig that covers Leman Russ tanks. I wouldn't buy any epic from GW now, I don't pay a premium price for casts that are of absolutely dreadful quality. It's fair to say that they're now casting from very old, used, moulds.

That was clear evidence bug! Has anyone bought FWstuff recently? Do their minis suffer the same quality drop?

The bright side is that the customer service is still pretty solid - when my commanders pack was missing a Chaplain, I got another one gratis.

I was deeply amused that the one figure I'd wanted immediately was the one that was missing, though.

Customer service is generally sound, I don't buy much from GW/FW but have had two issues:
1. Those stupid FW firestorms, I ordered 1 pack of 3 and it took 3 packs to get 3 usable models. But they did send them with no questions.
2. They seem to have mixed up the shining spear/exarch mould. I got a pack containing mostly exarchs and one or two regular bikes. I wasn't that bothered, but figured I would let them know in case it is a picking problem they can fix in future. I was sent to the store, who sent me back to customer services, who sent a new pack. This one had a different (but still wrong) ratio. In the end I just clipped bits off the helmets. I have noticed in forum photos that others have had the same thing happen.

With pricing, TBH I am not so bothered. It may seem expensive, but they charge what they charge and I'm either prepared to pay it or I'm not.
