Seven dollars is kinda high, but I was desperate for Epic 40k Eldar paraphernalia . I should scan it out into a computer file.

Been playing a bit of EpicA. Its a good game but despite surface similarities plays very differently. must admit i still have a fondness for the elegance of Epic40k. Wondered if some vets could fill in some detail on the transition from Epic40k and EpicA ...

As i understand it the Epic40k rules were rushed out half finished due to management changes. The game continued to be developed through the magazines but player pressure to return to the detail of 2nd ed meant slowly the game evolved in to EpicA. I have Firepower 1 which fixes some of the broken elements of the boxed set (anti-tank/super heavy tanks.) but id like to pick up some more of both firepower and epic40k magazine but want to make sure im getting rules that are properly comparable and not just a proto epicA. At what point did JJ 's proverbial baby get thrown out with the bathwater ?

I have PDFs of the four Firepowers if anyone wants them, just PM me (they are all black and white, which I don't think they were in color originally)

I found this PDF index of the contents of all the mags, must have got it years ago, no idea where from!

I don't have any PDFs of the mags themselves, but I do appear to have PDFs for the Epic articles from White Dwarf issues 208-213. 208 was when the Epic 40K box was released, 213 was when the Tyranids were released. Did GW make these available on the Fanatic website?

Nice! I had forgotten all about The Emperor's Tarot. Might make for a fun optional system for EA play if modernized. Hrmmm....

Yay, now i have the four E40K firepowers. My quest for knowledge continues ;D
If anyone of you veterans could help a young grasshopper obtain the rule articles printed in the ten Epic 40,000 Magazines
it would be much appreciated... Rules explanations, raw data and unit stats is also fine.

Most of the new rules in the 10 magazines seems to be about titans and war engines.
Are these rules directly transferable from AT2 as an improvement to epic40k ?
Are the the two systems meant to play differently or is AT2 practically the same game just with a focus on superheavies ?

These are the articles that I am especially interested in.
Epic 40,000 Magazine Issue 2
Third Wave: Experimental rules for Ork vehicles and a new "mob rule" (+ sortof a HQ mob rule for the IG)
Epic 40,000 Magazine Issue 5
Official Allocating Hits: New rules for allocating hits that allow tougher units to screen weaker units.
Epic 40,000 Magazine Issue 9 & 10
Official Tau & Kroots: Rules for the Tau / kroot and the tau airforce
