WIP Wave Serpents:

The blue still needs to be highlighted and the bone areas will be washed and highlighted, then details like gems etc.

Old school! and I see a Fire Prism in the distance; I am really starting to enjoy this army.

First two Wave Serpents finished:

Six more to do...

@vanvlak - yep, I have a bunch of the old Deathstalkers which will serve as Fire Prisms - they will be part of a future target :)

Also, advance warning - I'm going to be playing a joker for April, since I'll be away for 3 weeks with no opportunity to paint. I'm doing a training course for work, and then on holiday.

Great, I love the old Eldar models, and these pair are beautifully done - especially the gems! 8) 8) 8)

Ditto what the guys already said - these guys all look great, especially loving the freehand.

Cancel the holiday and get some painting in mate, I'm enjoying seeing this all come together!

Fail. The remaining Wave Serpents are actually really close to being finished but I'm away from home for the next week so will have no opportunity to finish them for the end of the month. Hopefully I'll be able to finish them this weekend, it won't take long. I'll try and get an updated army pic up then as well.

Starting to look like a decent force now :) as I said before April is a joker month, stuff is way too busy in IRL and I'm away a lot. See you all in May!

Yep. Always thought the old eldar stuff looked naff, but with your paintjob they're very not naff indeed!

Iyanden's population was more than decimated by the attack of Hive Fleet Kraken. With it fell generations of shipwrights, bonesingers, artisans and warriors. Crystal libraries were rendered to shards, knowledge passed down through millennia was lost. Now with its echoing corridors almost empty save for shadows and ghosts, Iyanden's armies rely on older designs of grav-vehicle, either survivors of the Tyranid assault or what could be bartered, bought or borrowed from other Craftworlds and Corsair fleets. Though the ancient Eldar designs are in some cases unrecognisable next to their more usual forms, they fulfil the same roles and in the right hands can prove just as deadly.

(See, I can write fluff ;D And I thought using the older vehicles for Iyanden fits quite nicely with the background.)
