Iyanden is pretty much finished for now. Our local gaming guys are pushing Heresy-era Epic gaming (looking at daemonkin) and I couldn't decide which Legion to go for, so I rolled a D20 :) 18 it is then...

*waves*

Looking great so far and I love the chapter symbols. I've just started some titan support for my Emperor's Chimps

nice, looking forward to more!

You might be interested to know that The Army Painter 'Greenskin' colour spray primer is just right for salamanders

Also, having recently started early era salamanders myself, I found that adding a small black eye-dot to the shoulder symbols using a 0.05mm black pen was a very fast way to add detail.

James at Wee Gamers is another Heresy player with Dark Angels and he has them all painted with their legion symbol too

Apoc - I've used some of the Army Painter sprays before and they went on really thick, obscuring detail even on 28mm models :\ how have you found them for 6mm stuff? Good tip about the pen too, thanks :)

I don't use any other spray primers on 6mm now I find them so good. When they say shake for 2 minutes before using, they mean it though. Also I've found spray primers exceptionally vulnerable to humidity so always test first on a bit of junk sprue, just in case. As with all things modeling related, YMMV.

Army painter needs to be shaken and shaken really really well. Wouldn't use them on 6mm infantry but have done fine on 28mm tanks and troops

AP works like a charm on 10mm Warmaster :) painted 9 units of orcs with the green as a base and I am very happy with the results. Shake it well though!

Oops, sorry for the late reply. I didn't have any problems, shake well and test the distance. I also found they spray *looked* thick while i was applying it, but seemed ok once dry.

For an example of AP green spay on 6mm inf for salamanders see post 3/4 way down this page: http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... &start=705 (and other pigs page before/after)

I've also used the deep red (dragon red?) and the uniform grey sprays on 6mm inf (both plastics and metals) before.

Lovely work on your Sallies - I'm not sure I'll match that, but always good for inspiration!
