Well it's 2014 and no one seems to have set up a new ToEG ( *pokes Apoc* ) so in the meantime I am declaring this year's project - Iyanden Eldar. Not only will I try and acquire many Wraithguard, but my plan is to use old-school vehicles like the original Wave Serpents, for a retro feel.

I don't have enough models yet to make a start although some are on order from ebay, but when I have sorted things out a bit more I'll start a proper ToEG thread here.

February - Spirit Warrior Warhost, Vampire Raider - complete
March - Wave Serpents x6, Aspect Troupe (plus transport and Exarch) - complete

Models have been ordered so my first monthly target is in the first post, a Wraithguard host and some Falcons.

First unit of Wraithguard is on the painting table. I had to destroy some bases as some of them were mounted 5 to a base (haha, fools!) so I took them all off and reassembled them 3 to a base. If the glue would not succumb to brute force then clippers and files were employed - some bases died, but their sacrifice was not in vain :D

The yellow is Casandora Yellow wash over white spray. The blue is Enchanted Blue (old name).

Unleash the cheese wedges! Are you planning to use these as Falcons or Wave Serpents? Personally I reckon they look more like Wave Serpents now.

@Llamahead - they're Falcons. Using the old Wave Serpents for Wave Serpents ;)

Mounted on plasticard bases - 25x30mm rectangles cut with scissors, corners cut off, then chamfered with a file. Small piece of sprue used as a spacer to make them look like they're actually skimming :)

Some Webway portals and objectives, based in the same way as above. I was going to spray the lot today but it's cold and frosty outside so that might have to wait.

First of the Falcons is done to test the colour scheme:

The yellow and blue are the same as for the Wraithguard. Purple is Liche Purple with Warlock Purple highlights and white dots. Engines are Rakarth Flesh, lines in Scorched Brown and highlights in Bleached Bone.

Also I finally got my spraying done so 2 Falcon units, 2 Wraithguard units, 3 Wraithlords and the objectives are all ready for paint :D
