I've had a thousand Sons army in various states of assembly and base coating for over a year now, so I thought TOEG would be a good opportunity to actually get the army painted.

2 retinues this month hopefully!

I've actually got 2 retinues painted up, I'm just missing my black ink so the metal parts look ghastly. I'm waiting for a new pot I ordered to arrive and willowy pics once it does.

Black ink STILL hasn't arived, so I'll post a WIP shot of the two formations I'm working on this month. Hopefully I'll be able to post last months soon.

1K sons retinue and Terminator formation based, base coated and ink washed. The terminators have 5 stands as I've got one with a sorcerer lord and one with a demon prince for extra list choosing flexibility. As the Demon Prince is obviously gonna be Magnus the Red, I was thinking of detailing the terminators with some red bits; maybe their power fists or something.

I believe these are out of production items available from some years ago. You still see them around from time to time.

Aye, those are OOP stuff. Good old days :)

Love Army Painter primer!
Use their Dragon Red for my pre-Heresy Sons and can only recommend the quality of the spray paints!
By the look of it my own future Chaos Sons want one of those cans as well ;)

What colour scheme are you going for MikeT?
Yellow or Silver as the second colour?

Also, did you tinker with that Magnus a bit?
