Ok. Basetutorial Part 1

At first i took a round base. Then i used a wire to fix the Tau Hammerhead.
The isolation from wire i used for waterpipes.



On this base i want represent a strett with Kerbstone and bombholes.



For the kerbstone i cutted another bases und glued the little part on it.



After this i took my my knife and made holes in the Base with it.



The bases were prepared now. Time for my Lavasand from Vallejo.





Ok. Part one is over now. Sorry for my bad explain. I hope pictures says more as i wrote.

Awesome! Looking forward to more of the basing tutorials! Basing is and always has been my "waterloo" of modeling. I just can't seem to get up the willpower to tackle that and distract myself with new models telling myself, "i'll get around to it... soon"

Okay. Tutorial Part2 starts. Today i made the bases complete black.



Then i used the first colours . Scorched brown and shadow grey....

For the asphalt on the streetbase i used a mix 30:70% of shadowgrey and chaosblack.



Second step. Now its time for brighter colours. I brushed with bestialbrown and fortressgrey.
For the streetbase I brushed really easily.



Step 3. The details...

For the pipe i used vermit brown and for the edges i used fieryorange.
For the puddles i used bubonicbrown und after washed it with badabblack
The streetbase got some marks.



Finished.... for the three bases i needed only 20minutes to paint. Its absolutly easy...

For this ones who wanted to know how i want paint my tanks....

Here is a first WIP picture of my first skyray and the colourscheme for all my Tau-Tanks.

I have to say that I love the look of Epic Tau and your stuff makes me want to paint my stuff up... good job, keep up the good work.

Skyray finishid. Now its time for "Fire and forget"

Nice mate, very nice, I really like that colour scheme, it suits Tau very well. So what's next on the painting table.

Everything looks phenomenal.

Next i will finish the last two Skyrays. After this i will look. I have a another Skimmer Group, that i have to piant for my list. In september i must be ready with a complete painted army in Berlin for a tournament...

Ditto - the bases are simple but just brilliant, and the colour scheme works perfectly for Tau.
