So given how poorly I performed in last years TOEG I have decided to take a head-start on this years... Actually, as I plan on having 2 more armies completed in the next few months, for a tournament I'm running in June, I really need to get cracking. anyway, the first of these forces is a nice and quick one to paint (theoretically atleast) since taking these photos i've undercoated it, but they wouldnt show up well... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (Excavator goes on the rightmost objective) If you treat the giant flying saucer as a Warbarque instead of an Abbatoir, and drop one of the pylons it forms the 4000pt army needed for the tournament |

Cylon Basestar! Great idea for a Hervester Engine. Where'd you find one that sacle, and in metal? |

that would actually be a Directorate Carrier from firestorm armada. its 2 resin parts, 2 metal, and yeah, its a great model and quite cheap. ![]() I'm planning on getting a few of the smaller ships to make a BFG/FA fleet for the crons at some point, but right now the epic army is the priority |

VERY nice force. My resistance to getting a Necron force is being flayed away... --Robert |

I love that gate. What did you use for the Green 'wave' effect within the circle? |

I think it's a piece from the 40k monolith. |

I'm curious about your obelisks since you are the second person I've seem with them like that. I'm guessing the pylons and vanes are no longer in production for the core? |

what do we have here? it appears to be some painted and based infantry (which make them my first actually finished epic miniatures, as i have yet to begin the (frankly, terrifying) task of basing my bloody hand...) ![]() yeah, not much to look at huh? lets see it from a different angle... ![]() and this fellow keeps lurking around the wings, put a shirt on you hippy! ![]() also, i made a display board for both this, and my chaos boys ![]() and that nightbringer chap again ![]() |

I'd suggest a different ground color than gray as it tends to make the cron models blend in. That's why I used a reddish color on my cron bases and a slight greenish tint to the metals. |

Regarding vanes and corners, I got tired of seeing my own junky resin output. |

ah. I see. Those vanes were very nice and not junky at all as were the pylons. |
