So after giving away my Chaos Land Raiders to a mate (not sure whether I really liked the look of them), I set about working on the RT designs that I picture most appropriate for the World Eaters.

With a little bit of work with assistance from the Chaos and Dark Eldar sprues I was able to get my hands on, here are the results:



I believe these have far more character than the GW Chaos Land Raiders.

So this is another 300 Points to my total

Here is a little project (secret squirrel - shh!) I am also working on to 'fix' what I saw as some bad designs in the GW Jugger model.

As it is 6mm, I am doing my best. I am happy with how they are progressing.

Can I make a suggestion on the helmet vanes, FB? Try using plastic card add-ons. I think it'll be a cleaner job for you. Just lop off the current ball-and-arms design and stick on a fresh, easier to cut design - not to mention less time-consuming. The good thing with the Khorne helmet vanes is they're straight edged so cutting them out would be easy enough to do ahead of the join.

I have already finished 16 and undercoated them for the total of 8 bases.

No issue however. I am pretty happy with how they turned out. I also have about 7 that had heads etc lopped off so I have some extra models for the bits box

Thanks all. With my recent interest in WHFB I am really looking to either get this finished or slow down to concentrate on getting a force painted for that game. Not sure yet.

In any event, I should have some more stuff to put up tomorrow - it is very much a 'paint and churn' production line on my hobby table at present.

I am happy to report that I have just finished 8 Rhinos to add to the force.

Not sure whether the skull heads are a bit much however they are done now. I can always add more.

In regards to the Khorne symbol being wonky - I was going to redo it, however then I had the image of the World Eaters attaching such plates with melta weapons to stick them on asap so as not to waste time with them. In this case, I left it that way to provide more character (for me anyways)




So this is another 100 Points to my total (counting these as Berserker retinue transports)

So I found some free time and was able to finish these guys off.

All the helmets have been re-fashioned to be Khornate helmets, the silly large spike was taken off the guns and the flag poles removed (as Khorne cares nothing for grand standing and the like).

I tried to go for the metallic feel mixed with the red building up from a darker base. The camera seems to give off a different red than in real life which effects the other colours - I am going to go to an introductory camera course quite soon. Overall I am happy with the conversions and paint job.
