I think I'm up for it. It might give me incentive to give a makeover to my guard.

I'll sign on with my Vanaheim. Started a bit already, but that just means I'll need to make it bigger, right? It might even keep me from wandering too badly.

With the direction that lists are going (cheaper), 500 points is becoming quite a chore. In some cases, that is three formations.

I guess if it get's people even meeting 1 month's worth of TOEG, that is better that what they would have done otherwise...

*still trying to decide what to do*

It could be done other ways, eg giving a 'value' for infantry/vehicle/WE stands and then saying you need to paint up to a total value number per month. So 10 infantry is the equivalent of 3 vehicles or one war engine or whatever, this evens the burden out across more and less mini demanding lists. However, people seem to have been happy with 500 points in the past, it's simple, easy to apply and many tournament lists tend to go in 500 point blocks.

If anyone wants to use or suggest a different system that's fine, do whatever works best for you, it's just helpful to have some sort of goal/rule/target in place to keeps things moving and differentiate from regular plogs.

On the Danish forum, you are given points per painted model, and the winner is awarded beer, something to consider? ;) Our little race runs for a year until the next Giant Fanatic Epic tourney in October.

A model of one unit = one point could work with one DC counting as a unit, AV and flyers gives two points. You would have to complete for 20-25 points worth every month (haven't done the math, but you get the idea).

I like the current model though...

I am currently planning an award for participation :) although it will be lead, not liquid (nor indeed liquid lead, as it burns, it burns!).

So after I finish my basement and with the addition of a new child, I doubt I could do this... BUT, I do want to finish up my IG army that is pretty much done, with the exception of bases and some other vehicles.

So maybe I can cheat a bit :)
