May have backed that kickstarter heavily couldn't resist the Spitefires and Wellingtons as well hmm Guard army for next year.
But for now here are my Rapier Miniatures Harpies I need to work out some rules to use them as Furies. Nice models I'll probably pick up a few more for fantasy games.
Image
For the end of December I'll have a photo shoot of what I've done. I'll also at least get the God Squad assembled if not painted.

Rawl Plug Drop Pods are here.
Image
These were made by taking a Rawl Plug chopping of the transmitter aerial bit saving it for other projects of course and gluing a screw cap to the base. The open ones were slightly more complicated but not much. 14 Drop Pods possibly half an hour and less than £3 just the way I like it.

Well here we are nearing the end of 2013 and it's time to look at what I've achieved.
Here's where we were in April
Image
Heres where we are now.
Image
Yep that's a huge boost and an accomplishment I'm proud of, it works out at over 26000 points of painted Epic.

Here's some shot of each element
We'll start with Undivided.
Here are the Marines and Titans
Image
There's 18 Land Raiders and 45 Rhinos in this shot as well as plenty of Undivided Marines.

The next element is the Human Renegades
Image
I'm particularly happy with the armour. The greens and Word bearer red sigils contrast nicely. The Ragnaroks are based on T35 hulls with Aoshima turrets.

Beastmen next.
Image
Including over 40 Minotaurs. The Rapier miniatures models are the most interesting addition mostly used to count as Trolls and Ogryns.

We'll follow the order in the Net Epic book for the Gods starting with Khorne.
Image
The only one of the God Squad to receive paint Verum Irae is the star of this part of the show. Plenty more Daemon Engines are planned for creation and will be receiving paint.

Nurgle next.
Image
The least numerous single God force due to the lack of chaos cavalry. GZG alien critters make good the lack. It's also in dire need of Plague Towers.

On to Slaanesh
Image
The addition of Knights will soon increase the power of this part of the host. Still wondering about Titans however.

We finish with Tzeentch
Image
The Anemone towers and glue gun horrors are my favourite part of this group. The addition of flyers is planned for some time next year.

I'll be adding random stuff to this thing through out next year but I'm hoping to move onto an IG army based on Brigade Miniatures models for my ToEG. I've got plenty to paint with lots of Predators and more vehicles on the cards already as well as finishing of the God Squad and the knight households for this project.

Been idly considering Infantry for the IG and I have a pretty nifty plan. Bacchus is going to produce a WW1 range and I reckon these will make an excellent choice as Guardsmen. Currently the hopeful plan is 1914 BEF troops for officers and command stands and helmeted 1916 style troops for the regular infantry. They'll be Bacchus's usual high quality and excellent value and should work wonderfully.

Couldn't resist getting this done before the End of the Tale.

This is the final of my aligned Warlords. Verum Vesanium has a Spawn head with Bead Eyes. The right arm is a Inquisitor Chaos Cultist Plasma Pistol while the shoulder mounted weapon is a rawl plug autocannon Quake Cannon bodge. The Left shoulder mounts a simple Titan Missile using an hunter-killer missile while it's arm is a doom fist bodge based upon a grenade launcher and chaos knight close combat weapon. Thus finishes the God Squad and the Tale .................but not the force.

I take you back to a distance time when men were men and the sheep were nervous I take you to the hallowed past of 2013.

Got the components to do lots of these and they were lovely and simple to paint and best of all I really think they work.

I've got something rather new for you heavily inspired by Ian's Nurglite forces I give you the Plague Crawler.
Image
Image
It'll use the Plague Tower rules and is based around some Ramshackle games parts (the tracks a dozer blade and a bogie bit) I brought years ago. The weapons are GW and are a Grenade Launcher, Demolisher Cannon and heavy stubber bunged together with lots of miliput and smog belching rawl plug chimneys.

Chaos Terminator Company finally completed
Image
Happy with these I've used a lot of command figures in here as I've got a horde of Chaos Champion figures and want to try and eke out a second company. This'll give me a much more vicious Chaos list however.
Image
I've also got a pair of new Chaos Warhounds assembled. Head Swapped and given Spinefists which'll count as Vulcan Mega Bolters I'm happy with these vicious critters. The Tyranid weapons make them look organic and give an excellent daemonic vibe and well to be honest I've always found the Warhound heads kind of goofy.

Finished these yesterday

Hell Scourges. Wargames Factory Skeleton legs (yuck) with a head torso weapon creepy thing made from a Devourer gun. These would be really easy if it weren't for those separate feet. If I ever decide I need 28mm skeletons again I'll buy Mantic.

If it weren't for the Wargames Factory skeleton legs those Knights would be a doddle. All they are is skeleton legs a Devourer Arm and a Devourer head ignoring gnashing of teeth at the legs maybe five minutes work. If anything the titans were even easier like kitbashing a 28mm figure it was just a matter of arm and legs swaps. Basically think of the parts as Lego bits and look for the correct shape regardless of source. If you need confidence rubbish based terrain and bases is a great way to get into practice.
