Hi! In the first of a hopefully long series of videos showcasing the Epic community's collections, the spotlight is on Simon Fearn, whose forces include Titans - new and old - as well as Space Wolves, Ork and Slaanesh armies! Enjoy! https://youtu.be/1xY5-n6y56Q Interested in having your own collecti...

In the first part of this conversation I had with Epic legends Peter Ramos and David McDonald, they discuss Imperious Dominatus, their new ruleset designed with 6mm Epic Warhammer 40,000 in mind - and tell us why fun is at the forefront of their ethos!

Yes, you're right, any additional shots which kill do not get put to other units and are wasted. When it says you can arrange the shots as you like, it's meaning that you could, for instance, target one unit with 5 or your 6 shots and then another with a single one. I noticed someone on the Imperiou...

Hi all, I've been running the Life of Die Podcast for a few months now and have finally gotten around to discussing Epic! I've put this under Net Epic because a lot of the focus of the podcast will cover this and/or 2nd Edition, but this first podcast is more of a discussion of the various editions ...

Hi all, First of all, a huge apology, especially to Cybershadow who runs this site: there was a period when I wasn't playing Epic and because of that, I stopped coming here. For whatever reason, once I was out of the habit, it wasn't occurring to me to visit - which was very stupid of me. For that I...

One thing that's just occurred to me about Overwatch: Units with the Command ability will become even more desirable as they can charge and first fire or charge and be placed on Overwatch. That's not a complaint, merely an observation.

Turn 6: Markus' Imperial Guard struck in the city, catching the Squats off-guard as they were engaged in building fortifications. The battle was an incredibly one sided affair with the IG sweeping across the city and dominating the territory at an incredible pace. In terms of casualties the Squats h...

Ah! I forgot to mention that, yes we did! It worked pretty well and sorted the problem that I'd had previously with the Squats where everything was deployed but had few targets because the other side hadn't yet deployed. This time I could put units on FF orders and Overwatch fire at enemy units depl...

Excellent battle report, cheers Craig! Post battle analysis: I set up defences down one side of the board but they aren't great for the Squats as my infantry were mostly based in Termites and a Mole (not deployed during the battle). The skimmer Iron Eagles and the Praetorians have no use for them wh...

Yes, you're right. Better to be explicit than imply anything. Here's the updated version of the patch - note that I've added a section for units on Overwatch acting as spotters. Overwatch: if you have activated a unit on First Fire orders but have not fired that unit, place 2 First Fire counters nex...

Ok, so today saw the first playtest new Overwatch rule. It's a case of so far so good. Both of us fell foul of Overwatch, both lost important units to enemies using it against us. It worked very well. What is interesting is that the addition of the Overwatch may mean that we change around when we ac...

Just to add I would allow Titans and units making pop up attacks to fire into second lines and beyond of infantry. Just use your common sense with LOS i suppose is the obvious thing to say! So far as allocating dice is concerned it does get easier and faster as you get familiar with the game. Having...

1. The whole lot come down at once.

2. You can't charge troops out, only advance.

3. Don't see why you couldn't deliberately smash drop pods on to enemy units. You would still have to roll for scatter for each drop pod though.

Hope this helps!
