I'm of the opinion that the Farseers shouldn't have to pay any additional points for the ability of transferable leadership. However, there might be reason for concern about having people take extra [minimum size] guardian formations to get a few extra leaders on the board. I know I would. That woul... |

Well, they would probably each have to loose a weapon system, and probably some range on the weapon systems they keep if the point cost were kept the same. Not something to be happy about, I suppose. However, the "light" knights could have their move reduced by 5 or 10cm without taking too much of a... |

Quote Eldar should not be close to the enemy unless they choose to be and according to the background they should pretty much never choose to be unless they are crushing something. ?If the player is doing so, they are working against the original intent of the list. Well, maybe, but is it really tha... |

I have to say, if the fluff says they aren't the type to have the abilities conferred by 'infiltrator,' then they probably shouldn't have the ability. However, if the fluff only vaguely hints at the knights not being all that fast on the charge, then I would say such an ability is still fair game. A... |

I wonder if giving knights the 'infiltrator' ability was ever considered. I ask because they always seemed to be more like cavalry than more traditional vehicles, and rough riders have the infiltrator ability to represent a cavalry charge. So, why not give the knights that ability, too? I realise th... |

Ahh, whatdya do that for - dragging practical concerns into this? Seriously, though, if a titan were to make any sense, it would have to be much tougher than a battleship. I mean, can any "modern" (are there any?) battleship actually stand up to a modern cruise missile attacks? The only way I figure... |

Well, there really no reason why the Ulthwe list (or any of the other varients) could just go back to the drawing board after whatever change is made. It's not like there's a publishing deadline. That might mean Ulthwe won't get released at the same time as the Chaos lists, but that isn't so big of ... |

Well, the warhound pilots are supposed to be a pretty wild bunch. I would think that if they were sent of to bolster an IG or SM army, where they weren't under the direct command of a TL princeps, they would be fine with going solo. However, I could easily accept that in an army commanded by a hard-... |

Okay, to set the record straight, Farseers had the "Leader" ability up until the .4 version of the list in November 2003 (the final version was .84 [July 2004] or .85 [Nov 2004], with the overall army structure set around v.7 in March 2004). For all intents and purposes, Farseers haven't had the lea... |

Quote (phindar @ 10 Feb. 2006 (13:46))Unless, ?you are already within 30 cm of the formation. ?In which case, ?2 TK shots are the last thing you should be worried about. Actually, I was assuming they'd be mixed in with a bunch of 45cm big guns, which had just double moved 30cm (or 60cm for a blitz b... |

Quote (The_Real_Chris @ 10 Feb. 2006 (09:10)) | I think its a consequence of having fans develope their own list - witht he original three everyone did it, now you only do it is you have an interest in the army already. |

On the topic of Zzap guns, I think the biggest problem with them is that they are hard to suppress or destroy when put in certain warbands. The problem gets worse (it doesn't scale linearly) with big and 'uge warbands. I would suggest that oddboyz be given a different point cost based on the unit th... |

Well, here's what I have to say about the matter: Spirit stone bother people for these reasons: 1) When a small formation (3 of fewer units) rallies from being broken, they come back with no BMs. Anytime a formation can rally and come back with no BM's some people get irked, even with mitigating (po... |
